Dave Chapman offers a two-day experience, revealing some ancient secrets of bronze-casting in deep collusion with the elements.

PLACE: Flag Fen Bronze Age Excavation. Starts 9:30 am Saturday, ends 5:00pm sunday.

COST: £145 - includes lunch Saturday and Sunday, evening meal Saturday.

The workshop will cover working in wax, mould making, casting and finishing using a variety of techniques. THIS IS AN IDEAL OPPORTUNITY TO CREATE YOUR OWN UNIQUE BRONZE ARTIFACT, or personalise one of the Bronze Age Foundry's production pieces and take it home with you alongside the experience itself.

Following on from the success of the lost wax casting experience, a new workshop dedicated to the casting and hilting of the Bronze Age swords is now being offered at Flag Fen.

COST: £185 - includes lunch Saturday and Sunday and evening meal Saturday.

Over the weekend you will make a fully finished leaf shaped sword, hilted, polished and sharpened.
