NEW ARRANGEMENTS FOR CLUB MAINTENANCE To all those members who attended the work party on Saturday 7th November, many thanks to you all. Despite the early threat of torrential rain the morning stayed dry and many projects were completed on the pontoons, compound, clubhouse, bosuns locker, and work boat. A fantastic achievement by you all. It was great to see so many new faces. You will by now have been notified of new arrangements for work parties. Further details and explanation are in the STOP GAP There are now 8 areas of responsibility for maintenance, each group led by a team leader and his deputy. All sailing members will be expected to attend 4 work parties a year, for social members this is optional. A full list of maintenance jobs, and the teams are exhibited in the STOP GAP on the new notice-board. We have made a start on this work but there is still much to be achieved. It is essential that members give this their full support. Further details.... (DMH 7/11/09) NAVIGATION MARKS Please note that withies have now been put in the entrance to the River Brue to more clearly mark the river banks by Andy Walker and Howard Tanner. (DMH 15/10/09)
