NEW ARRANGEMENTS FOR CLUB MAINTENANCE To all those members who attended the work party on Saturday 7th November, many thanks to you all. Despite the early threat of torrential rain the morning stayed dry and many projects were completed on the pontoons, compound, clubhouse, bosuns locker, and work boat. A fantastic achievement by you all. It was great to see so many new faces. You will by now have been notified of new arrangements for work parties. Further details and explanation are in the STOP GAP There are now 8 areas of responsibility for maintenance, each group led by a team leader and his deputy. All sailing members will be expected to attend 4 work parties a year, for social members this is optional. A full list of maintenance jobs, and the teams are exhibited in the STOP GAP on the new notice-board. We have made a start on this work but there is still much to be achieved. were hoping to get back to the U K and participate in the Autumn activities
and continue lending a hand with the work parties that seem to have a new
direction. But things have been pretty hectic here in Sweden and I don't
think we will be back much before the Spring. We sailed the boat here in the end of
August after having been on the south coast for some time to renew all the
rigging and quite a lot of other work. We were hoping to have a few days
French leave in Fecamp but the weather thought otherwise and the entrance
was impossible so we had a very rough beat up to Dieppe where we holed up
for a few days. The boat is wintered in a nice little
marina on the Kattegatt called

at Falkenberg and we are hoping to crane out this week as there is a

some fairly exciting sailing to the Baltic.
