RETURN DSC VHF RADIOS AND MMSI

Is your vessel fitted with a DSC VHF radio? You will
be aware that each licensed radio is issued with a unique MMSI number.
This number is punched in to your radio set to identify it to you and the
vessel. Whilst you may still be calling the coastguard on Ch 16 by voice
the preferred means of communication to HM Coastguard is by using
DSC. So how are you going to call call your local Coastguard Station
by DSC?. Where can you find the unique MMSI numbers? Once you have found
the correct numbers they can be entered in your Ships DSC VHF Radio
Directory. The manufacturers manual that came with your radio will assist
you in this procedure. The required MMSI numbers can be found in the following tables:

| HM Coastguard MRCCs all have their own unique MMSI number (listed below) so that they can be called directly by boats or ships at sea. |
