A Work Boat, yellow in colour (the banana boat) is available for the use of members, and is an ideal platform for servicing moorings, and towing requirements in the River Brue. Members should supply their own outboard at least 4hp is recommended When using the work boat please ensure that all occupants wear suitable lifejackets, (useless unless worn). For safety purposes please ensure you are accompanied by a competent Club member. After use please secure the work boat to its current mooring, and remove all rubbish. |
The
old Watchet Pilot Boat is being refurbished to provide a means of
dredging, laying moorings, safety boat etc. Its abiltiy to move mud with
prop wash in confined spaces has been remarkable.
