Over the years I have been asked to show traditional woodworking skills to a wide variety of age groups at scouting events. It is my aim to promote traditional woodworking, using hand tools and methods, to as many children and adults as possible, in the hope that it will inspire them to continue working in a very natural way. I use a foot powered lathe, hand axe, froe, drawknife, an assortment of turning chisels and knives.
I have an enhanced CRB disclosure (by The Scout Association), a risk assessment has been carried out and is reviewed regularly.
