Wednesday 11th June 2008............was an altogether different day from two years ago. The weather started off overcast, but soon brightened up to be a day with sunny intervals. My day started in the usual way with setting up my equipment in good time for the children to attend, with enough time for a bacon sandwich, followed by a couple of cups of coffee. This year I demonstrated the techniques used in the production of wooden bowls, plates and cups. I also demonstrated spoon carving, Gypsy flower carving and peg making, together with a talk on the processes of cleaving, sawing, trimming and turning.
