Cornwall played Devon at Riley's Snooker Club Plymouth on Sunday November 18th 2007.

Devon took revenge for recent defeats in the annual match with Cornwall when they defeated their rivals by 21-12 at Rileys Plymouth. Cornwall had some success in the billiards which they won 4-1 with Charlie Gay leading the charge with a handful of modest breaks (38*2, 51, & 56) in beating England International Bill Andress by 330 points to 241. Andress himself recorded runs of (32, 39 & 56) in the match. Devon's only success in this section came with Steve Canniford beating Noel Meagor 260-244.
Devon excelled in the snooker sections with both the Senior and Under 21 sides gaining 10-4 victories. Devon's captain Gareth Clark recorded a 2 - 0 win over Carl Boundy and there were similar scorelines in the Mike Day v Justin Watters and Matt Williams v Robert Bennetts matches with the other four matches showing points shared between the players. Cornwall captain recorded the highest break of the day with a break of 68.
In the Under 21 snooker, there were 2-0 wins for Sam Cox, Dale Branton, Mitchell Grinsted and Daniel Hine on the Devon side with only Jake Stewart recording the same score for the Cornish side. Dale Branton made a break of 62 in one of his frames, the highest in this section.
The Cup was duly handed over to Devon's Chairman Ian Hann by Cornwall's President Charlie Gay and both thanked all the players and officials for their efforts as well as Riley's Club for the use of their facilities and the provision of an excellent post - match buffet. Report by Geoff Setter (DCB&SA).
