Chris Mitchell wins title at first attempt.
The final stages of the English Amateur Billiards Association (EABA) Grand Masters Billiards event took place at the Attack Snooker Centre Nuneaton, on Sunday 9th March 2008.
The competition is run annually, and is open to all persons over 50 years of age. The event normally attracts about 100 entries, with the first stages being played in regions.
This year saw two of our current Cornwall team players, Chris Mitchell (Dobwalls) & Charlie Gay (St Day) qualifying for the final stages this in its self being a good achievement.
The final stages consist of 16 players playing round robin games in four groups of four, with the top two players from each group going through to the knock out stages.
