"Fowler Showmans Engine" Building Project by John Baker

'Allchin Traction Engine' Built by club member Bryan

Designed by the late W.J. Hughes, this is a 11/2" scale model of an Allchin Traction Engine.
Bryan started building it in 1974 but it was not completed until 1994.
It was exhibited at the 1994 Model Engineering Exhibition, where it was awarded a Silver Medal.
Although it has been built as a fully working steam engine, it has never been steamed.

Bryan even made a set of scale tools, displayed under the engine,
which includes a working oil can.
