Raised Track Re-Alignment Project 2007

Over the last few years to raised track at Ridgeway Park has moved due to changes in the soil
water table etc.
In early January 2007 work started on not only re-aligning the track but also refurbishing the layout
and replacing the damaged and decaying wooden sleepers.
As the track is far to long to be done in one go the worst section was tackled first.
The deadline for completion was the end of March, as the track had to be ready

for the first public passenger hauling afternoon on the 1st of April.
