The story of 'Through Changing Scenes'

The idea of Through Changing Scenes came about quite by chance from a post-rehearsal chat between members of a church choir and one of the church-wardens, who just happened to be updating a written history of the church.  One thing led to another and the first event, then entitled Tuneful Accord (the ensemble adopted the name later on), took place on a cold, wet January Saturday back in 1993.  The audience reaction was fortunately anything but cold; calls for a repeat performance were soon forthcoming and were willingly met, in more clement conditions, the following summer.  Then came the first of what has been a gentle stream of requests from other churches and parishes to build a performance around the history of that area and community.  Over a decade and a half later the requests are still coming and, to date, Tuneful Accord has notched up 28 TCS performances. We have also sung for a wedding or two and in September 2006 we gave our first recital.
