Red-throated Diver – Aldenham Res on 9th. Horton GP on 27th. Staines Res and King George VI Res on 8th. Queen Mother Res on 21st and 22nd. Wraysbury GP from 15th until 20th, and from 22nd until 26th.

Black-throated Diver – Staines Moor, one reported over on 25th. Staines Res, from 1st until 20th.

Red-necked Grebe – Queen Elizabeth II Res on 15th,16th, 21st and 22nd.

Slavonian Grebe – King George V Res on 28th. King George VI Res, four on 17th. Royal Victoria Dock from 1st until 4th. Staines Res single on 18th, three on 19th and single on 28th. Stanstead Abbots GP from 1st until 5th.

Black-necked Grebe - Staines Res single from 13th until 28th, with three on 24th.

Bittern – Barnes WWT on 23rd. Bedfont CP, two on 9th. Bowyers GP on 3rd. Holyfield Lake on 15th. Lee Valley Bittern watch point, one or two all month, with max of three on 5th, 11th and 15th. Rye Meads on 26th. Sevenoaks NR, two on 2nd, 5th, and 8th.

Little Egret - Amwell GP one or two all month on and off. Broadwater GP roosted all month, with max 15 on 1st. Holyfield on 23rd. Lemsford Springs on 2nd,7th and 16th. Queen Elizabeth II Res from 5th until 7th, and on10th. Rainham Marsh, five on 9th and 25th. Sevenoaks NR on 8th. Staines Moor, single all month.

Brent Goose – Wm Girling Res, six on 19th.

Pink-footed Goose – Wimbledon Park, two on 26th  

White-fronted Goose – Bankside (Tate) on 10th. Barnes WWT on 13th. Beddington SF, five on 11th. Holyfield Fields, 18 on 16th, 20 on 17th and 18th, 19 from 19th until 21st, 16 from 22nd until 28th. Rainham Marsh, ten from 23rd until 27th. Staines Moor, three from 14th until 28th. Wm Girling Res, two on 14th and single on 15th.

Green-winged Teal – Walthamstow Res, from 16th until 24th.

Pintail – seen at Amwell GP, Holyfield Lake, Queen Elizabeth II Res, and Rainham Marsh (max 81 on 16th).

Red-crested Pochard – Stocker’s Lake from 14th until 16th, and on 23rd.

Ring-necked Duck – Ewell all month.

Lesser Scaup – Brent Res from 14th until 23rd.

Scaup – Brent Res on 2nd, and from 16th until 19th. Broadwater GP, three on 1st. St James’ Park on 19th. Queen Elizabeth II Res on 21st. Staines Res on 19th. Walthamstow Res on 22nd. Wraysbury GP on 7th and 11th.

Common Scoter – Staines Res on 12th.

Red-breasted Merganser – Wm Girling Res on 1st.

Smew – seen at Amwell GP, Barnes WWT, Beddington SF, Bedfont Lakes, Belhus Wood CP, Bowyers GP, Broadwater GP, Cheshunt GP, Holyfield Lake (max 18 on 23rd), Hooks Marsh GP, Korda Lake, Nazing GP, Sevenoaks NR, South Ockenden, Stanstead Abbots GP, Stocker’s Lake, Wraysbury GP (max eleven on 11th), and Wraysbury Res.

Red Kite - North Mymms Park on 1st.

Marsh Harrier – Broadwater GP on 22nd.

Hen Harrier – Hornchurch on 24th.

Buzzard – Beddington SF on 23rd. Copped Hall on 5th and 14th. Coursers Lane Fields, two on 16th. Hall Marsh on 22nd. King George V Res on 25th and 26th. Mymms Park, two on 16th. Prae Wood, two on 16th. Stocker’s Lake on 15th. Trent CP on 25th. Turnford Brook CP on 8th. Whitewebbs Wood on 21st.

Osprey – Hatfield one reported on 14th, had been first reported on the 19th Jan.

Merlin - Holyfield Fields on 22nd.

Peregrine –  Bankside (Tate Modern), and various Inner London locations, one or two all month. Beddington SF on 11th, 13th,15th, 22nd and 23rd. Croydon on 14th and 20th. Rainham Marsh on 9th. Staines Moor on 25th and 26th. Woolwich on 17th, 23rd and 24th.

Oystercatcher – Staines Res on 28th.  

Avocet – West Thurrock, 15 on 16th..

Grey Plover – Grays, six on 1st and three on 22nd. Northfleet, two on 4th. Rainham Marsh, five on 16th. Tilbury Dock on 19th.

Knot – Tilbury Dock, two on 19th.

Jack Snipe – Beddington SF single on 16thand two on 23rd. Hall Marsh on 22nd. Hatfield Aerodrome on 17th. Purfleet, two on 2nd. West Thurrock, three on 1st.

Black-tailed Godwit - Grays, 39 on 1st and two on 22nd. Northfleet, 45 on 4th and six on 19th. Rainham Marsh, two on 9th, 16th and 25th. West Thurrock, 52 on 1st.

Bar-tailed Godwit – Beddington SF on 12th. Rainham Marsh, two on 9thand one on 24th.

Greenshank - Tyttenhanger GP on 4th, 7th, 8th, 15th, and 16th.

Turnstone - Grays, two on 1st and 22nd. Tilbury Dock, on 19th.

Kittiwake – Northfleet, four on 4th and single on 19th.

Barn Owl – Colney Heath on 2nd (dead). Hatfield Aerodrome on 1st, 17th and 21st.

Long-eared Owl – Hatfield Aerodrome, on 16th and 21st.

Short-eared Owl – Hatfield Aerodrome, all month, max 3.

Water Pipit – Beddington SF, four on 11th and single on 28th. Rainham Marsh, five on 12th. Staines Moor all month, max 20 on 25th. Stanwell Moor, two on 24th.

Black Redstart – Purfleet on 1st. Tilbury Dock on 19th. Walton Res on 2nd.

Cetti's Warbler – Amwell GP on 1st. Berwick’s Pond on 26th. Greenwich Ecology Park on 19th.

Dartford Warbler – Rainham Marsh on 25th. Yeading Meadows on 15th.

Firecrest – Bedford Park on 7th and 25th.  Brent Res from 2nd until 17th. Hatfield Forest on 26th. Regents Parks on 2nd. Trent CP, one or two all month, with max three on 17th. Warley on 7th. Weald Park, two on 8th and 13th, and single on 20th, with three on 26th. Whitewebbs Wood on 14th.
