Red-necked Grebe – Staines Res on 6th.

Slavonian Grebe – Staines Res single from 1st until 17th. 

Black-necked Grebe – Causeway NR single from 8th until 29th. William Girling Res max of nine on19th.  

Shag – East India Dock Basin 12th.  Millenium Dome two on 23rd. Thames Barrier 15th. 

Bittern – Causeway NR on 27th. Cheshunt GP first returned on the 8th to the Bittern watch point. Rye Meads on 18th. 

Little Egret – Amwell GP 27th & 28th.  

Whooper Swans - Island Barn Reservoir five on 18th. Stocker’s Lake two on 13th.  

Brent Goose – Beddington SF four on 22nd. Tylers Common on 10th.  

Garaganey – Island Barn Res until 12th.  

Red-crested Pochard – Barnes WWT on 27th. Connaught Water 16th. Pinner Park on 10th. Stockers Lake two on 27th.  

Ferruginous Duck – Staines Res & Wraysbury GP on 1st and then Harmondsworth CP from 27th until 31st.  

Scaup – Beddington SF three on 26th.

Common Scoter – Queen Mary Res on 27th.  

Goldeneye – first three reported King George V Res on 4th.  

Red-breasted Merganser – Walton Res on 31st 

Goosander - first reported King George V Res on 13th.  

Marsh Harrier - Amwell GP on 6th. Beddington SF on 2nd. 

Buzzard – Amwell five on 6th. Cattlegate on 4th. Copped Hall on 19th & 24th. Morden on 31st. North Mymms three on 17th. Tyttenhanger GP on 17th. 

Red Kite – Chingford Plain on 28th.  

Peregrine –  Beddington SF on 18th, 19th & 24th. Fairlop CP on 24th. Greenwich on 25th.  King George V Res on 13th. Mansion House on 21st. Millenimum Dome on 8th and 23rd. Paddington Green on 7th. Staines Res on 17th. Tate Modern up to two in the area all month.

Hobby at Amwell two on 2nd and 6th (last reported), Beddington SF on 3rd. Hooks Marsh two on 4th. Lambeth Res on 5th.                

Oystercatcher – Queen Mother Res on 4th and 31st. 

Grey Plover – Queen Elizabeth II Res 10th.  

Pectoral Sandpiper – Beddington SF single from 3rd until 12th.  

Jack Snipe – Amwell on 6th, two on 19th and 21st and single on 27th. Beddington SF three on 15th, nine on 17th, and fifteen on 18th. Ponders End Lake on 15th. Sevenoaks NR on 15th.   

Lesser Yellowlegs – Amwell GP from 18th until 31st  

Mediterranean Gull – Amwell GP on 19th. Barking on 27th. Dartford Marsh on 27th. Greenwich on 25th. Beddington SF and Queen Mother Res on 25th. Valentines Park 20th for the 4th returning winter.

Little Gull – singles early in the month, but five at Queen Mother five and Thames Barrier five on15th, last birds at King George V Res on 24th, Brent Res on 27th, Walton Res on 28th, Beddington SF single on 29th and two on 30th. Staines Res on 31st 

Ring-billed Gull – Greenwich area 1st until at least 13th.  

Caspian Gull - Beddington SF on 5th, 8th, 14th and 16th. Island Barn Reservoir on 17th.

Kittiwake – Dartford Marsh on 28th.  

Sandwich Tern – Thames Barrier four on 9th.

Common Tern – last Queen Elizabeth II Res on 12 & 13th  

Barn Owl – Stanwell Moor on 11th 

Short-eared Owl – Beddington on 3rd. Staines Moor on 11th. King George VI Res two on 16th. Vicarage Farm on 18th.

Swift – City (Liverpool Street) on 9th.  

Wood Lark – Amwell GP on 13th. Barns WWT on 17th and 31st. Coppetts Wood two on 13th. Trent Park on 12th.

Swallow – Barns WWT thirty-three on 17th, Grovelands Park three on 23rd, Beddington SF on 28th, and the last reported at Tylers Common, Harold Wood on 30th.  

House Martin – last reported Staines Res four on 14th and last Vicarage Farm five on 18th.

Rock Pipit – mostly singles, but Beddington SF three on 13th and single Queen Mother on 31st. 

Water Pipit – Beddington SF singles on 21st, 23rd and 24th, two on 28th and six on 30th. King George VI Res single before flying onto Staines Moor on 28th.  

Yellow Wagatil – last Beddington SF two on 2nd, Greenwich on 4th, King George V Res on 5th and Staines Res on 20th.  

Black Redstart – Brimsdown on 4th and 8th. King George V Res on 16th, 18th and 26th. Vicarage Farm on 7th. 

Whinchat – two at Cornmill Meadows and singles at Tylers Common & Queen Mother Res on 2nd, and last reported Dagenham Chase on 3rd.  

Wheater – last reported three Queen Mother Res on 16th.  

Ring Ouzel – , Beddington SF on 10th and 13th. Chingford Plain single on 10th. Merryhills Brook, North Enfield on 16th. Mudcute CP, Isle of Dogs on 21st. Paddington Green on 18th. Tylers Common two on 9th and single on 10th. Vicarage Farm on 7th. Victoria Park from 21st until 23rd. Whipps Cross three on 12th. 

Cetti's Warbler - Amwell GP on 26th. Rye Meads RSPB on 23rd.

Sedge Warbler - Staines Moor on 2nd.

Dartford Warbler – Staines Moor from 16th until 19th. Tylers Common, Harold Wood 21st until 31st.   

Lesser Whitethroat – Cattlegate on 4th.  

Firecrest – Church Gate single on 18th. Grovelands Park two on 9th. Great Warley two on 19th. Tylers Common four on 28th. Upminster on 31st. Vicarage Farm on 21st. Victoria Park single on 23rd and two on 24th. Whitewebbs on 24th.

Spotted Flycatcher - Weald Park three on 2nd.

Bearded Tit – Rye Meads SF three on 25th. 

Marsh Tit - North Mymms three on 28th. Whitewebbs two on 24th. 

Red-backed Shrike – Rainham Marsh still present on 1st.  

Tree Sparrow – Ferny Hill Farm on 14th. Horsenden Hill single on 19th. Tyttenhanger GP circa twenty on 16th and eight on 17th. 

Brambling – first reported, Barnes WWT eight, Trent Park nine, and North Mymms six all on the 17th.  

Common Redpoll – Barnes WWT on 19th.  

Snow Bunting – Barnes WWT on 19th.  

Lapland Bunting – Queen Mother Res on 2nd and King George V Res on 8th.
