Species: All year: Common woodland birds. Summer: Hobby, Blackcap, Chiff-chaff and Willow Warbler. Passage: occaisonal raptor; Woodcock; possible Redstart, occasional Firecrest. Winter: Fieldfare, Redwing and Finches.
Perivale Wood           (TQ160837) (website) Habitat: mature woodland.

 

Species: All year: Lesser Spotted Woodpecker; Common woodland birds. Summer: Blackcap, Chiff-chaff and Willow Warbler. Passage: possible Redstart, occasional Firecrest. Winter: Woodcock; Fieldfare, Redwing and Finches.
Yeading Meadows           (TQ105835) (website) Habitat: grassland, river, copse and old infill site.

 

 

Species: All year: Common woodland birds. Summer: Whitethroat, Blackcap, Chiff-chaff and Willow Warbler. Passage: occasional Wheater, Whinchat and Stonechat. Winter: Long-eared (irregular) and Short-eared Owls; Stonechat, Fieldfare, Redwing and finches. Rarities: have included Little Egret.
