Species: All year: Ruddy Duck and Ring-necked Parakeet. Summer: most common waterbirds can be found, along with Sedge and Reed Warblers, Whitethroat, Blackcap, Chiff-chaff and Willow Warbler. Passage: the occasional raptor, such as Marsh Harrier, Buzzard, Osprey, Hobby, passerines including Wheater, Whinchat, and the occasional Redstart and Firecrest. Winter: Smew, Goosander (small numbers), Bittern (annual); Water Rail, with overwintering Chiff-chaff and occasional Firecrest. |

Habitat: common land, old in fill site, with rough grassland, areas of gorse and wooded areas, plus a small pond with reeds. | Species: All year: Ring-necked Parakeet. Summer: Sedge Warblers, Lesser Whitethroat, Whitethroat, Garden Warbler, Blackcap, Chiff-chaff and Willow Warbler, with the occasional Grasshopper Warbler. Passage: the occasional raptor, such as Marsh Harrier, Buzzard, Osprey, Hobby, passerines including Tree Pipit, Wheater, Whinchat, Redstart, Ring Ouzel, and the occasional Pied Flycatcher. Winter: Water Rail, Jack Snipe; Stonechat. Rarities: have included Red-backed Shrike and Serin. |

Summer: Hobby; Little Ringed and Ringed Plover, Lapwing and Redshank; Sedge and Reed Warblers, Whitethroat, Blackcap, Chiff-chaff and Willow Warbler. Passage: Garganey, Pintail; the occasional raptor, such as Osprey, Hobby; most wader species pass through (though in small numbers) such as Oystercatcher, Grey Plover, Little Stint, Ruff, Dunlin, Whimbrel, Greenshank and Wood Sandpiper; the occasional Little Gulls; plus passerines in the surround vegatation and open areas, such as Wheater, Whinchat and Redstart. Winter: very occasional the odd rare Grebe; the odd Smew, Jack Snipe. Rarities: have included Red-neck Phalarope and Red-backed Shrike. |
