Barn Elms Wildfowl Reserve        (TQ228770) (website) Habitat: converted reservoir into a Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust reserve with lagoons and reedbeds.

Species: Summer: most common waterbirds can be found; occasional Hobby; Black Redstart, Sedge and Reed Warblers, Blackcap, Chiff-chaff and Willow Warbler. Passage:  occasional rarer Grebes; Garganey, Common Scoter, Scaup, and Red-breasted Merganser; the occasional raptor, such as Osprey, Hobby; most wader species pass through such as Oystercatcher, Grey Plover, Little Stint, Dunlin, Whimbrel and Turnstone; the occasional Pomarine or Arctic Skua; Little Gulls, Sandwich, Arctic, Little, or Black Terns; plus passerines in the surround vegetation and open areas, such as Larks, Pipits (including Rock), Wheater, Whinchat and Redstart. Winter: occasional Red-necked, Slavonian and Black-necked Grebes; Bittern; Bewick Swan; Brent Geese; Scaup, Common Scoter, Goosander and Red-breasted Merganser. Rarities: have included Bonaparte's Gull, White-winged Black Tern, Shore Lark, Red-throated Pipit, Desert Wheatear and Ortoland Bunting.

Habitat: Ornamental gardens and lakes, but with open areas and mature woodland. Species: All year: Egyptian Goose, Mandarin Duck, and Ring-necked Parakeet . Summer: most common waterbirds can be found; Hobby; Blackcap, Chiff-chaff and Willow Warbler and Spotted Flycatcher. Passage: occasional  raptor, such as Marsh Harrier, Buzzard, Osprey, Hobby, passerines including Wheater, Whinchat and Stonechat; the occasional Redstart and Firecrest; and Spotted Flycatcher. Winter: Stonechat, Dartford Warbler (rare), Firecrst and Finches. Rarities: have included Black Kite, Ring-billed Gull, Woodchat Shrike, Golden Oriole.

Species: All year: Egyptian Goose, Mandarin Duck, and Ring-necked Parakeet. Summer: most common waterbirds can be found, Hobby; Blackcap, Chiff-chaff and Willow Warbler. Passage: occasional  raptor, such as Marsh Harrier, Buzzard, Osprey, Hobby, passerines including Wheater, Whinchat, and the occasional Redstart and Firecrest; and Spotted Flycatcher. Winter: Finches. Rarities: have included Red-breasted Flycatcher. 
Richmond Park            (TQ200730) (website) Habitat: large parkland consisting of open areas, scrub and mature woodland. Species: All year: Mandarin Duck, Ring-necked Parakeet. Summer: most common waterbirds can be found, Hobby, Tree Pipit, Stonechat, Whitethroat, Blackcap, Chiff-chaff and Willow Warbler. Passage: occasional  raptor, such as Marsh Harrier, Buzzard, Osprey, Hobby, passerines including Wheater, Whinchat, and the occasional Redstart and Firecrest. Winter: Bittern (rare), occasional Dartford Warbler. Rarities: have included Woodchat Shrike and Ortolan Bunting.
