Habitat: Disused docks in the Centre of London, open water and areas of scrub (not as good for birds as the Royal Docks)..

 

Species: Summer: Little Ringed and Ringed Plover; Common Tern and the possibilty of Black Redstart. Passage: the occasional sea duck; with Terns, including Arctic, Sandwich, or Black Terns, plus the occasional passerines. Winter: Common wildfowl, with occasional records Divers, rarer grebes, plus sea duck, such as Red-breasted Marganser; Smew dependant on winter conditions. Rarities: have included Ring-necked Duck. 
Victoria Park   (TQ360837) Habitat: City type parkland with a series of small ponds.

 

Species: All year: Common water and garden birds. Summer: Blackcap. Passage Occasional Hobby; Redstart, Pied Flycatcher, Wood warbler and Firecrest. Winter: Fieldfare, Redwing, with a possibility of Firecrest (rare).
