Set Up: All cones 15 yards apart 10 players 20 footballs Ensure quality SAQ dynamic flex warm up before drill Format of Drill: Player 2 plays the ball into Player 5 then runs to back of the queue on cone 2. Player 5 turns with the ball and passes into Player 10, then Player 5 follows the pass Player 10 then with the ball into the queue behind the start position Player 3 plays the ball into Player 6 who then turns the opposite way and then plays the ball into Player 9 Keep rotating players Coaching Points: Quality of pass Weight of pass Receiving techniques Quality of turns Quality of first touch Out of feet Explode into space Communication High intensity Progression: Use opposite foot – lace passes Use different turns i.e. Cruyff or drag back include goals and goalkeepers on both sides of grid |
