Seven parents and coaches representing the Calverton Colts Football Club have just completed a 92 mile sponsored bike ride from Old Trafford, Manchester to the City Ground, Nottingham. Leaving Old Trafford at 10.00am the route covered Stockport, Hazel Grove, Buxton and through to the City Ground in Nottingham just in time for Nottingham Forest's home game against Norwich City. Whilst Forest celebrated its excellent 2-0 home win, the Sponsored Bike ride team made the final leg of their return journey to Calverton escorted by several Honda GoldWing Motorcycles from the ‘Trent Wings’ club. |

Over 200 Children & Parents welcomed the team back to the Club on Hollinwood Lane at 7.00 pm and went on to enjoy a barbeque & auction of football memorabilia. Early estimates are that the Bike Ride & days activities raised over £6,000 for the Calverton Colts Club. |
