Update 30 December

New update to pitch and changing room allocations.

CHOCS PREDICTIONS 3rd & 4th January

Well firstly I would like to wish you all a happy new year and hopefully this weekend we may get some games played.

1st team are now top of the league and played last week coming out 7-1 victors over Kimberley Town and on a decent pitch it would have been by a bigger margin, this week they are away to my old team Southwell and they will want to topple us but I can safely predict another win for us.

The reserves are at home to Kimberley and a win for the lads, there is no way we will not get 3pts and start moving us up the league.

The 3rds are away to Old Elizabethians and this could be a close game, but I am afraid only a draw for the 3rds.

The u19s have no game this week.

Our new NAA take on the team who are mid-table in AFC Bridgford but 3pts is the order of the day.

The Academy Saturday are also sitting on top of the league and take on Hucknall Rolls Leisure this Saturday a tough sort of game but I fancy us to get them 3pts and go 7pts clear.

The u16s lads take on Kimberley who are currently top of Div 3 in the cup, this could turn out to be a difficult game but I think we can overcome them and go into the next round.

Our u15s at this moment have no game but if they get one before the weekend I will predict a win.

The u14s are also without a game but like the u15s if they do I will predict them a win.

The u13s take on Kimberley MW this weekend and 3pts will certainly take them within distance of a a runners up spot, I know its early but check out the league so 3pts for the lads.

u12s have not got a game.

U11s take on 3 rd place side Sneinton and it is big ask but I cannot see us getting anything out of the game, sorry lads but prove me wrong.

U10s have no game also

U9s no game

Our u12 girls are playing Arnold Town at home this Sunday and after talking to Carole I predict a defeat for our young female colts.

The Vets no game

These are my predictions for this week so good luck to the teams that are playing.

Well with only 8 games being played due to the weather the 8 games that were played resulting in me getting my best ever predictions, 7 right and only 1 wrong and the team that let me down was the first team, but a brighter note 4 out of the 5 cup games saw us have 4 teams progress into the next round and for many teams a place in the last eight.

1st team had a 3-1 defeat to Newark Town but a very entertaining game which drops us down to 3 rd place in the league but we can put that right this week by beating table toppers Harworth CI at home, this should be a very good game which I can see a draw being the end result.

The reserves beat Attenboro in the Intermediate cup which takes them into the last eight but with no game this Saturday but they do play a mid-week cup game against Forest Town this Tuesday night with a 7.45pm ko, if we can field a half decent side I fancy us to go in the hat, come on you Colts teams come and support Mull and his Team and it’s free.

The 3rds lost by the odd goal again and this week it is Wollaton at home, Calvo could do with a win but on recent form I can see them getting a draw.

The u19s game was postponed last week due to frost but this Wednesday they travel to Carlton Town a team in form and a team that would like to beat us so I would predict a full strength squad is needed, but a defeat may be on the cards.

Our new NAA take on the team who they should have played last week in the cup so my prediction is still the same a win and place in the last 8.

The Academy Saturday side won 3-2 last week which puts them in the last 8, this week it is back to league action against Sandhurst a team they beat recently, a tricky game but 3 more points to the youngsters and still unbeaten.

The u16s lads take on Kimberley who are currently top of Div 3 in the cup, this could turn out to be a difficult game but I think we can overcome them and go into the next round.

Our u15s are also in cup action against Wollaton Hall who are mid-table, we should progress in to the semi’s but it is a cup match, close game but we should go through a win for us.

The u14s also went into the last 8 with an emphatic 10-0 defeat of Winthorpe, this week back to the league against 5 th placed Dunkirk we should win but you never know so a draw is on the cards.

The u13s had there shooting boots on last Sunday against Cotgrave coming out 6-1 victors and also a place in the last 16, this week it is old rivals Gedling Town but Mick’s lads are on fire and there is no way we will lose this one, a win for me.

u12s must be disappointed last week going out of the cup 1-0 but get that out of the system and concentrate on the league with a game against 2 nd place Hyson Green, they need some confidence to get something out this game but a win will take them within 2 pts of them, maybe a draw if they want it.

U11s no game last week are away to top of the league Moorgreen and they need a combined team effort to get any thing out of this one, but I fancy us to get a point.

U10s who are lying in 2 nd place take on mid-table Netherfield if they want to stay in 2 nd spot they have to beat these sorts of teams and I can see no reason why 3pts should not come our way.

U9s who are laying in 4 th spot take on 3 rd team Hucknall at home and if they want to go 3 rd they have to beat them, 3 rd place for the u9s with a win.

Our u12 girls have actually won two on the bounce and have also moved into the last 8 of the cup with a 5-1 win last week, the result must of pleased Manager Jo as this was the first time she spoke to me without asking for anything so come on girls keep winning.

The Vets had no game last week so this week they should be up for it and raring to go, Argosy are the team that may stop them getting 3pts but after a well earned rest I cant see that happening, a win and 3pts for the old boys.

These are my predictions for this week and let’s hope we get some football played, so good luck.

Update 2 December

As mentioned in the paragraph below, its the last 16 of the county cup this week. The Acadamy team (mainly under 17's) are also at home in the Minor Cup v Pegasus. The game is a 4pm kick off under floodlights and, just as the NAA side would be grateful for as much support as possible seeing as the first team and reserves are both away this week. Be there, do the double header!! 1.30 pm kick off for the NAA team and 4.00 pm for the Academy.

NAA report added. Its the last 16 of the county cup this week for the NAA team and they are really aiming to win this! They are playing Greyhounders at HOME and they would be grateful for as much support as possible seeing as the first team and reserves are both away this week. It would be much appreciated! Be there - 1.30 kick off.

Under 15 report added.

Well with 17 games being played I got 10 right and only 4 wrong and 3 without a game so a good weekend all round.

1st team had a 4-0 win against Harrowby with a good all round performance, this week it is off to Newark Town where I can see a draw as Newark are a very decent side unless Crink can raise there game and come away with all 3pts but still a draw for me.

The reserves travelled all the way to Kiverton near Doncaster only to find out that the game was off due to fog, a wasted 70 mile trip, this week for them is a tricky game against Attenboro in the Intermediate cup which a win will put them in the quarter finals, if we have the right side out we could get a result and I will go with a win.

The 3rds were gutted Saturday going down 4-3 to league leaders on Saturday but the jinx struck again with another serious injury to Birdie a fractured cheekbone and dislocated Jaw, this week it is Radcliffe but I cannot see us getting the win they could do with just to the fact that Darren has lost 2 players in a week to injury’s and could be short, so a defeat is on the cards.

The u19s played Ilkeston last week and narrowly lost 2-1 but they take on Long Eaton Utd up here on Wednesday, they are riding high at the moment but maybe a draw is all they will get.

Our new NAA team won again this week 3-0 which takes them up to second spot but this week they are in cup action and a win will take them into the Quarters, don’t know a lot about the opposition but Stan and Ollie would have done there home work in some bar, so a win for me.

The Academy Saturday side won 5-2 last week which keeps them top, they also in cup action this week against Pegasus in which I don’t know a lot about but I can see them going into the hat and a place in the quarters.

The u16s lads won again 1-0 which takes them to fourth spot but are without a game this week due to the Shield weekend

Our u15s once again showed no mercy last week winning comfortably and still top of the league, this week they have fourth placed Hucknall sports a tough game but not to tough for the u15 lads, 3pts oh yes.

The u14s played Vernon White away and came away with all 3pts, they also are in cup action this week a win may take them into the quarters and there is no way why this should not progress, a win for me.

The u13s really did prove me wrong this week by thrashing second place Rainworth 6-0 which takes them some 8pts clear at the top, they also are in cup action and a win will also take them into the last 16 of the Shield and Cotgrave are the team that stand in there way and they could prove to be a tougher game than last week but I fancy us to squeeze through but just.

u12s let me down this week with 1-0 defeat but they need to up there game this week in the cup if they are to progress, it could be a tough game for them but a tight game but we could bow out by the odd goal..

U11s drew last week 2-2 in which one of my predictions were spot on, this week it is second place Sneinton and this will be a good test for the boys, if they dig in and play for each other in which new joint Manager Mick will want them to do I can see a draw coming there way, come on boys prove me wrong.

U10s after going 2-0 picked themselves up at half-time and a good solid team talk seemed to do the trick as they eventually came out 5-2 winners, Mick and Carl and the boys have moved upto 2 nd place and are having a very good season, this week a home game against 3 rd placed Ravenshead and draw is on the cards.

U9s proved me wrong also by picking up a point against league leaders who dropped there first point of the season, well done to Marc and his crew and of course the lads for a terrific result, this week they play Newark which should be a decent challenge as they are currently 2 nd in the ere league but I fancy our lads to come away with a victory.

Our u12 girls at last found there confidence by coming out 3-0 victor and moved upto 5 th place well done girls, Jo that is 3 drinks you now owe me, this week it is AFC Vernon who are just above you and a win will take you to fourth, I will put you down for a win.

Our new team the u9 girls had a friendly on Sunday and came out 5-1 winners, so well done girls and Pete Nuthall and his back up crew.

The Vets had no game and also no game this week, so put the deap heat away for a couple of weeks.

These are my predictions for this week so good luck.
