CHOCS PREDICTIONS 21st & 22nd FEB

Well let’s hope the weather is kind again for this weekend and get a full weekends football.

1 st team First team take on Ollerton who are also up there so this is a big game and a one we would like to win, we should be at full strength but this game has a draw written all over it, so a draw it will be. But to all Colts fans they need your support next Tuesday night on the 24th Feb when they take on Retford United who currently top of Div 1 in the Unibond league in the 3rd of the Notts Senior cup at home with a 7.30pm ko, it would be nice to see a big crowd to cheer the lads on.

The reserves have not had a game for a couple of weeks and have not a game this week, but next Saturday they have a chance to progress into the Semi-Finals of the cup when they take on Clifton up here.

The 3rds seem to be struggling at the moment but they have a chance to make it a good season if they beat there opponents, this will take them to the cup final so come on lads you wont get a better chance, raise your game and get that win for Darren. My verdict a win and a place in the final.

The u19s without a game this week.

O ur new NAA also without games take on Premium on Saturday and with a win that will give them a chance of runners up surely they have to take it, so I will go with a win.

The Academy Saturday side played in the Q/Finals of the junior cup last week against Real United and came away with a fine 7-4 victory which puts them in the Semi’s, well done to all concerned. This week it is Bottesford in the league cup they have beaten them once this year and I see no reason why we cant beat them again.

The u16s are back in action this week after a 3 week break and what a team to play Burton Joyce who are currently top of the league, without no games over the last few weeks I cant see us coming home with a point.

The u15s had a good 4-2 victory last week which keeps them up there but they did drop a valuable 2 pts a couple of weeks ago, this week it is off to Kimberley but I cant see them taking anything off us, so 3pts for Calvo.

The u14s have tricky game this week against St Anns Sneinton and if they want to keep in with a chance of the league they need to win, they did beat them in the cup a few weeks ago but needed extra time to do it so they know what they are about, but I feel a draw is all they will get.

The u13s are some 9 points clear at the top and take on mid-table Keyworth who I cannot see troubling Mick and the lads, so a win for the u13s and don’t let me down.

The u12s have not a game this weekend seems very strange to say that we have had more games called off due to the weather and this week they have not a game this week.

The u11s lost last week by the odd goal 1-0 which keeps them mid-table, but this week it is a tough game against 3 rd place team Sneinton and I feel we could lose this one but not by many

The u10s drew last week against Ravenshead 1-1 which keeps them in 3 rd place, this week they also have no game.

The u9s, last week it was 3 rd placed Hucknall and with a great win saw them swap places and move back upto 3 rd place and a win this week may give them 3 rd spot with only 3 game remaining so come on lads keep it going, my verdict a win.

The u12 girls take on top of the league this weekend and will do well to keep the score respectful and I am sure they will do that but I am afraid a defeat is on the cards.

The Vets took on Forest Town and came away with a fine 1-0 victory which takes them top of the league, this week it is off down the road to sunny Lowdham with tubs of deap heat and inhalers after playing 2 in a row, but a victory should not be a problem.

The u9 girls play up here on Sunday in a friendly not sure who it is they play but I feel a draw will come our way.

The u8s also play on Saturday and my verdict is a win without a doubt.

Please remember that these are my predictions and I do not intend to offend your team but please feel free to prove me wrong and good luck.

The FA’s Respect campaign has begun and we as a club need to support it.

CHOCS PREDICTIONS 7th & 8th FEB

Well let’s hope the weather is kind again for this weekend and get a full weekends football.

1st team traveled to Kinsley boys and they new it would be a tough game but they managed to salvage a point out of a tricky game and on a positive note the teams around them also dropped points, this week see’s them take on Hatfield Main and another tough game but they need to be on the ball if they are to win the league but I can see us coming home with a 3 pts, but to all colts fans they need your support next Tuesday night on the 10 th Feb when they take on Retford United who currently top of Div 1 in the Unibond league in the 3rd round of the Notts Senior cup at home with a 7.30pm ko, it would be nice to see a big crowd to cheer the lads on.

The reserves were comfortable winners in the league on Saturday coming out 4-0 winners against Bulwell Town which moves them upto 6 th spot, they have a tough game on Saturday where they take on NSL side Clifton in the Q/Finals of the Intermediate cup at home with a 3pm ko, but I hasten to add that with a lot of senior players cup tied and injuries and work commitments I feel we could bow out of the cup only to the fact that we are under strength.

The 3rds went down 3-2 last week but by accounts gave a good performance, this week they take on Lady Bay a team they have beaten this season so who knows could we come away with a point yes a draw for me.

The u19s without a game this week just as well looking at the weather.

O ur new NAA had a nightmare against league leaders going down by a flattering scoreline, and with Stan and Ollie both away at work they will not be happy bunnies but I am sure they will get it right for this weeks game against Lowly Kirton Brickworks, 3pts coming our way.

The Academy Saturday side play in the Q/Finals of the junior cup against Real United in which we know very little about but on recent form I can see them progressing into the hat for the Semi-finals.

The u16s are back in action this week against Wollaton Hall who currently the basement club, but I can’t see Andy and his young men dropping any points, 3pts are a cert.

The u15s dropped a valuable 2 pts on Sunday only managing a draw against a lowly side in Bulwell Rangers but I am sure they will bounce back this week with 3 more points.

The u14s were without a game this week but had a tremendous result the week before coming out 3-2 winners AET a result which I believe made manager Dave Lee very very happy and a relieved man, a trip to Sandiacre this week and a win is needed to get them back on track in the league, 3pts for the u14s.

The u13s bounced back from there cup exit last week with a 9-1 thrashing of Netherfield Colts but another league game this week where it is Long Eaton the outcome could be high but not as high as last weeks, but 3pts all the same for the u13s.

The u12s are still having a mixed season but this week it is fellow mid-table Hucknall Harriers a game which will be lot of goals but both teams sharing the points at the end of it.

The u11s have got there shooting boots on over the last few weeks particular on Sunday where we popped 10 goals passed the home team, this week they take on top side Sandiacre Town who have lost only 3 games all season, we need to be at our best but I can see us coming home with nothing but a defeat, Prove me wrong boys.

The u10s last week it was 1st v 3 rd and with a win which would of closed the gap but we went down losing 1-0 but a good performance by the lads, this week it is off to Ravenshead and a win is a must to stop them from gaining ground in the league, but I feel a draw coming out of the game.

The u9s bounced back from recent form to a 5-0 win against Beeston Orange, this week it is 3 rd placed Hucknall a win will take us 3 rd so this game is going to be tough game to call so I will go for a draw and play safe.

The u12 girls took on Pegasus who is top of the pile in the highest league in the cup; we lost 7-0 but a real hard game for them, well done to you all.

The Vets took on Nevabeen Athletic at the weekend and came out 7-0 victors which keeps them in 2 nd spot, this week they take on fellow pitch sharers Nottinghamshire, will be a tight game with points also being shared a draw for me, tired legs from last week.

The u9 girls did not play.

The u8s played this week and went down 2-1 to Clifton, not sure who they play this week but it is early days for our youngest team, keep it up lads.
