CHOCS PREDICTIONS 24th & 25th January

Well there was some surprise and shock results last weekend and my win predictions were low and some of our teams really were below par which had a say in my stats for this week, 9 were right and 6 wrong but that is football but we will see how this week fair’s.

1st team had a big shock in the cup going out 3-1 to Phoenix Social who are a league below them and you would put your money on us winning but a well below performance by the lads, but back to league action against lowly Harrowby who they have beaten twice this season, so it should be back to winning way’s for Crink and the lads, a win and 3pts.

The reserves were comfortable winners in the league coming out 2-0 winners against Nettleham which moves them upto 6 th spot, they have a tricky game at Newark who beat us here early on in the season 1-0, a tough game for us but a draw is my prediction.

They also play this Tuesday against Dunkirk in the cup with a 7.30pm KO all support is welcome.

The 3rds with 10 mins to go were 2-2 but fatigue and possibly over confidence resulted in us losing 5-2, but hopefully all senior sides can get some players back from illness and injury which may enable the 3rds to start winning a few more games, there position does not relate to the way they are playing, so this week I can see 3 valuable points coming there way.

The u19s play on Wednesday at home against Staverley MW and lost 3-0 which was a disappointment after last weeks result but no game this week due to the reserves playing on Tuesday night.

O ur new NAA came away with all 3pts against Boots which keeps them in 3 rd spot, this week they take on lowly Grey Goose and with a full squad they should take full advantage and may move upto 2 nd place, 3pts for Stan and Ollie’s lads.

The Academy Saturday side had a very tough game against Awsworth Villa who finally spoilt there 100% league record by beating us 3-2 with the winner coming in the dying minutes, but the young guns should of wrapped it up after going 2-0 up but all there goals came from set pieces, but a fantastic run to say the least, this week they take on Clifton Res at home in the cup and we should progress into the next round.

The u16s were in cup action against a div 3 side Kimberley and came out 1-0 losers a bit of a shock but that is football, this week they have no game.

The u15s pulled off yet again a 4-0 win last week against Wollaton Hall which keeps them on line for the league title again, this week not sure who they play but like before 3pts should be on the cards. Come on Dean let me know who you are playing.

The u14s were also in cup action last Tuesday night at home against rivals Vernon Colts in the Nott’s FA shield and moved into the semi’s with a convincing 9-1 score line, but failed to get all 3pts on Sunday drawing away 2-2 and this week it is the league cup and a chance to go into the next round but they face a tough tie against Sneinton which could be a draw and possibly a replay, so a draw for me.

The u13s bowed out of the cup against a very tricky side in Southwell going down 3-0 but with Mick missing 4 players and injury’s at South Nott’s in the morning meant he could only field 10 fit players, but it is another cup game for them this week against local rivals Arnold who took them to penalties earlier on in the season this could go the same way but we should go through.

The u12s are having a lousy start to the new year and it wont get any better this week as they take on top of the league and on recent form I cannot see us getting anything from this game but what a starting point for you to win but that is down to you, so a defeat is my verdict.

The u11s came away with a point against Wilford a team they beat the week before but gained a valuable point, a cup game against Ravenshead this week should be a very tight affair so come on lads do the business and get that win, and put a big smile on the managers face’s, I fancy a win for the lads.

The u10s last week it was 2 nd v 3 rd and a win could of took them joint top but we came out 3-0 losers but back to this week where it is cup action and a very tough game against Div 1 outfit Pegasus, this is a tough one but I feel we will bow out at this stage.

The u9s took on top of the league this week and battled very hard finally losing 2-1 but a good performance by the lads all the same, this week it is 3 rd v 4 th can we pull it off and come away with all 3pts of course we can.

The u12 girls took on Keyworth a game that the girls told me they could win but I did predict a draw and the score was a hard fought game which finished 1-1 which keeps them mid-table so well done girls undefeated in 2 games keep it up. This week it is Arnold Town and you will need to be at your best, can you scramble a point I think you could so come on go for it.

The Vets are away to Forest Town and the last time they played it ended all even, if they are to win the league they need all 3pts this Sunday but I fear they may slip up and only come home with a point.

The u9 girls have a friendly this week and Pete tells me that his girls are playing really well at the moment, so this week I can see a draw for him and the young ladies.

The u8s play this week and a victory should be on the cards.

Update 12 January

CHOCS PREDICTIONS 17th & 18th January

Well our good old weather men got it wrong once again especially with Saturday’s forecast but Sunday went ahead with no problems with some good results for our teams, this week saw 8 teams without a game but I got 6 right and only 2 wrong.

1st team game called off on Saturday but this week they play the same team so the same result. This week it is in the cup and they travel to Phoenix Social who are a league below them and you would put your money on us winning but you never know in cup games with underdogs and all that but we will be in the hat next round.

The reserves were also called off and at this moment in time not sure who they play this week it could be Dunkirk in the cup or Nettleham in the league but either way I fancy our chances in getting the win, so it is either the next round or 3pts for us.

The 3rds also called off but they are at home again this week and take on league leaders and they need to be on there game but I cannot see us getting the 3pts so a defeat for Daz and the lads.

The u19s play this Wednesday at home against Staverley MW with a 7.45pm KO, should be a tight game but I feel a draw is on the cards but it would be a terrific result if we can pull off a draw.

O ur new NAA side also without a game last week travel to Boots who are laying 2 nd of bottom so 3pts should not be a problem for Stan and Ollie’s lads.

The Academy Saturday side have a very tough game against Awsworth Villa and this should be a big test for the younguns, they are 2nd place and we are top and they could close the gap if they beat us but a draw would be good result for us, so a draw for me.

The u16s are in cup action against a div 3 side Kimberley who are top so this should be good game for both sides, I think we can just edge it and go into the hat for the next round.

The u15s pulled off a 4-3 win last week which keeps them on line for the league title again, but once again not sure who they play this week but like before 3pts should be on the cards.

The u14s are also in cup action this Tuesday night at home against rivals Vernon Colts with a 7pm KO and all support would be welcome, can we go into the Semi’s of course we can.

The u13s missed out on a game this week due to the weather but on Saturday they get the chance to progress into the next round of the shield, they face a tricky tie in Southwell and with Mick missing 4 players I feel we will fall this time round and bow out of the cup, but if they win no doubt I will get some feed back from the team so good luck.

The u12s are having a mixed season and with Sunday’s result I am sure they would of being some sad faces after there defeat, but keep at it I am sure it will come, and this could be the week so I will put you down for a win.

The u11s took on the team who they beat last week with a last minute goal, Lesley and Mick were very happy and I am sure the players were but they need to be up for it this week as Wilford will want to get revenge, a draw for me.

The u10s won last week and came away with all 3pts but this week it is 2 nd v 3 rd with a win for us that will take us joint top, but I feel we may lose on this occasion but can you prove me wrong I hope so.

The u9s had a 6-2 victory last week but they take on top of the league this week and this will be a real tester for them, Mark and his crew will do there homework and maybe come away with a draw, a win could give them a real chance to be up there but I will stick with the draw.

The u12 girls took on Ilkeston Town Ladies on Sunday and had a great win 5-4 but bearing in mind they were 4-0 at one point but hung on and got the 3pts they deserved, now this week the team have told me that they will win but I am not so sure and will play it safe with a draw.

The Vets played basement club Castle Donington on Sunday and came away with all 3pts, so a week off for the old boys and a well earned rest.

The u9 girls had a friendly last week and it all came even with a 0-0 scoreline, well done girls.

As for our u8s and the u9 girls they are playing friendlies and if they let me know before hand I will also predict there scores as well, please let me know.

These are my predictions for this week and if I have predicted a defeat for your team it is down to you and your team to prove me wrong, but good luck to all of our teams for this weekend.

Update 8 January

CHOCS PREDICTIONS 10th & 11th January

Not many games were played last week but we should have a full fixture programme this week if the weather holds up, but never mind here we go for this weekend.

1st team dropped to 2nd place after recording a 2-2 draw with my old club Southwell City, this week it is cup week and they travel to Phoenix Social who are a league below them and you would put your money on us winning but you never know in cup games with underdogs and all that but we will be in the hat next round.

The reserves played Kimberley last week and recorded there biggest score this season coming out 12-0 winners with the old boy Corky bagging 6 and missing 26, this week they entertain Dunkirk who are a league above them and this should be a real test for the boys, but you never know and I think we can progress into the next round of the league cup.

The 3rds played away to Old Elizabethans last week and came away with a draw, this week they take on Nottingham 11 side and I fancy the 3rds will get 3pts out of this one with key players returning from injuries.

The u19s played on Wednesday night and pulled off a terrific result in beating Long Eaton 1-0, a game I would of predicted a win so well done lads you have got me off to a flyer.

Our new NAA side had a bad day at the office last week going down 5-3 to AFC Bridgford and this week they take on 4 th spot East Valley and it should be a tester for the lads but they need to raise the game and I am sorry to say a draw for Stan and Ollie’s lads.

The Academy Saturday side nearly lost there 100% record but fought back from 2-0 down to get a draw not bad for a very young side, this week it is Carrabeen Cavs another awkward game but they have beat them once this season but I afraid it could be another draw.

The u16s won last week 4-2 which takes them up to 4th spot in the league, this week it is West Bridgford Colts and a win could take them up to 3 rd spot and I see no reason why they can’t come away with a win.

Our u15s have claimed a spot in the semi finals of the cup over the December period with a emphatic 5-0 win over Wollaton Hall, is it another double for the lads, not sure who they play this week but whoever it is they will not stop 3pts going our way.

The u14s are also in cup action this week and with a win that could take them into the Semi-Finals against rivals Vernon Colts; I can see a win and place in the Semi’s for Dave’s lads.

The u13s recorded yet another win over Kimberley MW last weekend 7-1 but they are also in cup action and face a tricky tie in Southwell and with Mick missing 4 players I feel we will fall this time round and bow out of the cup, but if they win no doubt I will get some feed back from the team so good luck.

u12s are having a mixed season winning then losing but it is the new year and I see no reason why they cannot get 3pts from a team who are 6 places below them, so 3pts for our lads.

U11s took on 3 rd place side Sneinton and lost 6-0 but they were a very big and good footballing side but the lads can hold there heads up high, this week it will be big smiles all around as they should and will win this game on Sunday. It is up to Leslie and Mick to lift them and I am sure that is what they will do.

U10s take on mid-table side Sherwood and with a win that will take them up to 3 rd in the league. Mick and Carl I am sure will have them fired up for this one and 3 pts should not be a problem.

U9s who are currently 3 rd and I am sure at the beginning of the season you would of took that so well done to you all, they also have games in hand. You need to win this week and I see no reason why 3pts should not come there way and with the games in hand you never know.

Our u12 girls take on Ilkeston Town Ladies on Sunday and a win they could do with and that would take them up to a mid-table spot but sorry young ladies I feel a defeat is on the cards, and I am sure that Jo and Carole would love to phone me up on Sunday afternoon to tell me they have won, sorry girls but can you prove me wrong.

The Vets play basement club Castle Donington on Sunday but without a game and match practice for over 6 weeks there will be a lot of aching bodies after there game but 3pts should be the order of the day.
