CHOCS PREDICTIONS 29th & 30th Nov
Well with 17 games being played I got 5 right with 8 wrong and 4 without games probably one of my worst predictions weeks.
1st team had a 4-1win against Nott’s Police in the 2nd round of the Senior cup which will pitch us against the big boys in the next round, this week it is cup action again against Harrowby and I cannot see us going out of the cup the lads are on fire, a win for me.
The reserves at last got a win under there belts coming out 6-1 winners but a bad injury to Jiggy scarred the day in which hopefully he should not be out to long, this week they travel to Kiveton who are striding away with the league so this is a tough game, a defeat for the reserves.
The 3rds were gutted Saturday going down 5-3 to fellow strugglers Basingfield, put that aside and this week they play top of the league Acorn what a way to bounce back but not this week, a defeat is my forecast.
The u19s played Rossington Main last week and came away 4-3 winners but this week travel to Ilkeston which should be tough game but you never know in football, I think we can pull off a victory.
Our new NAA team won this week 2-0 which keeps them up there so that would please Stan and Oliver, this week it is off to Premium where 3pts should not be a problem.
The Academy Saturday side drew 2-2 last week but not a bad result really, this week they play at Ruddington this game should not prove too much of a problem for our 17 year old youngsters and another 3pts in the bag.
The u16s lads went 3-0 up and in the last 20 mins threw it all away coming out 5-3 losers, lessons to be learnt, and this week they are at Priory Celtic they could do with a win if not they will swap places in the league, but I fancy 3pts for us.
Our u15s with no game are at home on Sunday and play West Bridgford this game should not be a problem for Dean and his boys, 3 pts oh yes.
The u14s also without a game last week play mid-table side Vernon White away should not have any problem coming away with all 3pts.
The u13s also without a game are at home this week against Rainworth Tigers and this game should be a tester for the colts but I cannot see anything other than a draw.
u12s didn’t let me down this week with an 8-1 winning score line but this week they play the team just behind them and this will also be a tight game but I fancy us to just get them 3pts.
U11s last week lost 2-0 to Sherwood which would have been a big disappointment for the boss and the lads, but they play Ruddington who they beat a couple of weeks ago but this is a new game, only a draw I predict.
U10s got back into winning ways by winning 3-1 against a division 1 side so the bosses must of being well pleased, this week they play lowly West Hallam but these games are the ones they need to win to keep them up there, a win for me.
U9s lost to division one side Keyworth in which I was surprised that they lost as these lads are a very decent footballing side but this week it is top of the league side and I cannot see us getting anything out of the game, so a defeat is on the cards, prove me wrong please.
Our u8s lost on Sunday against a side who had never one a game this season so a shock for the managers and players but I am sure you will bounce back with a win this week.
Our u12 girls also without a game but this week I fancy them to come home with all 3pts at the expense of West Bridgford and hopefully Jo may pay her dues, come on girls get that win.
The Vets were in cup action against Nottingham Vets who also play up here and went out on penalties - oh dear Brian, back to league action on Sunday which hopefully they should have a full squad back and 3 pts should be the order of the day.
These are my predictions for this week so good luck.

CHOCS PREDICTIONS 22nd & 23rd Nov
Well with 16 games being played I got 6 right with 8 wrong and 2 without games, at last some teams proved me wrong and came out winners well done to your teams but some still let me down, come on lads and lasses prove me wrong this week.
1st team had a 4-0 victory last week which moves them to the top spot of the CML a great achievement, this week they travel to Notts Police in the 2 nd round of the Senior cup and this should be a battle where the Police do not take prisoners but I fancy us to go through to the next round, not easy but enough to take us through.
The reserves let me down once again with a poor finishing performance and a poorly defended goal losing 1-0, this week they travel to Bulwell United and need to get back to winning ways, so I will go for a win in which they need, they are 4th from bottom but this win may move them up again.
The 3rds and Darren are in dream land after progressing to the last four in the league cup with a 1-0 victory over fellow strugglers Derbyshire Amateur, they also take on fellow strugglers Bassingfield but a draw for the 3rds.
The u19s are playing this Tuesday against Rossington Main and are desperate for a win which may take them above Rossington, but a draw is on the cards.
Our new NAA team lost this week against 2 nd place Nuthall, but this week take on Ruddington in which should be tough game and a tester, Stan and Ollie need to get them back up to speed or they will start losing track on the top two, 3pts for the funny duo.
The Academy Saturday side had a convincing 6-2 win against Keyworth United which takes them some 4pts clear with a game in hand and still unbeaten, this week they travel to Magdala which could be possibly there toughest game as yet, but a win should be the order of the day.
The u16s lads are got back into winning ways last week winning 3-1 and proving me wrong and progress into the next round of the cup, this week it is Radford who are placed just above them and a tough game but you never know, a win for me and the u16s.
Our u15s took on Parkhurst who were second in the league and played in the 1 st Rd of the cup and came away 2-1 winners after Extra time another team proved me wrong by winning, this week they have no game but a great double over Parkhurst, they must be favorites for the double again but still there is still along way to go.
The u14s last week were in cup action and another team to go through with a marvelous 9-0 victory, but no game this week.
The u13s also went through with an emphatic 9-1 win against Carlton Town, this week it is Dunkirk and they need to keep it going as they are looking good for the league, a win for the lads and well done for proving me wrong last week.
u12s didn’t let me down but probably let the management down by going out of the cup but they are still in one of the cups and are highly placed, this week it is bottom side Sherwood and 3pts is on its way.
U11s also went through to the next round with a 3-1 victory over Ruddington, well done lads. This week it is Sherwood and a win will move them up and with recent results I see no reason why another 3pts should not go our way.
U10s last Sunday lost 4-0 against a very good side and Mick and Carl both acknowledged that with there post match interview, but this week it is cup action and they take on Toton Tigers who are Div 1 side but are struggling so this should be good test for the lads, through to the next round I predict.
U9s were unbeaten but played a top of the league and lost by the odd goal in a thriller but they need to put that behind them and concentrate on another tough game a div 1 side in Keyworth should be interesting game for the lads and who knows could we go through, of course we can
Our u8s came away with a big win and are going very well in there first season, a credit to the Management and supporters, this week I can see another win for our young guns.
Our u12 girls let me down again and after speaking to the girls on Sunday they are down but not out and they have told me to put them down for a win this week, but they take on league leaders and a team that are unbeaten so sorry girls I cant see you beating them but a can of orange if you do, promise.
The Vets are in cup action against Nottingham Vets who also play up here and I can see no reason why we should not go through to the next round, but this will mean 3 games in 3 weeks so get the deep heat ordered.
We have at the moment 4 teams sitting on the top of there leagues and most of our teams are having a very good season plus great cup runs, lets keep it going. These are my predictions for this week so good luck.

CHOCS PREDICTIONS 15th & 16th NOVEMBER
1st team had a 5-1 victory last week which moves them up to 3rd place, this week they travel to Pinxton one of the teams that have beaten us this year, but I cannot see us letting them get the double over us so a win for the 1st team.
The reserves let me down last week going down to a 2-0 defeat but players should be back for this weeks visit from Newark Town, so a victory and 3pts for Mull and his Lads.
The 3rds without a game last week are in cup action this Saturday against Derbyshire Amateur team and this will be there 3rd encounter this season with one victory for each team, I fancy us going into the next round.
The u19s are playing this Thursday and face
Our new NAA team had a convincing win on Saturday 7-2 which takes them to 3rd but play 2nd place Nuthall this week which should be tough game but a point may be all they will get.
The Academy Saturday side had a convincing 4-0 win against
The u16s lads are having a mixed season with 2 defeats on the bounce and were without a game last week are in cup action against Chilwell Vipers who are currently sitting 3rd, I cannot see us progressing into the next round, sorry lads prove me wrong.
Our u15s took on top of the league last Sunday and swapped places with them by coming out 2-0 victors, who can stop them now, this week they play the same team but this time in the cup at home, but I hope it has not gone to their heads for this one in which I do not see us going through into the next round, come on prove me wrong.
The u14s were on the end of terrible result on Sunday slipping up 4-2 but this week they are in cup action against Vernon White also at home and also they should go through to next round.
The u13s after their win on Sunday have now gone some 5pts clear at the top so a rest from league action this week with yet another Colts team drawn at home to Carlton Town who are currently top of Div 2, an interesting game in which we should win but I have my doubts and a defeat is my forecast
u12s must be happy after their win last week and they like the above teams are also in cup action and also drawn at home entertain Arnold Town u12s this week, a local Derby but they are a division one side so another Colts team may bow out of the cup.
U11s have a new joint Manager in their squad and he must have been delighted with a resounding victory last Sunday, onwards and upwards as they say, another cup game at home against Ruddington Colts who are one place above them in the league, a tough call but I fancy us to progress into the next round.
U10s drew last Sunday but are still in 2nd place and still unbeaten in the league but another tough game this week should see them come away with a point.
U9s another Colts team unbeaten and are currently 3rd play top side who are also unbeaten this Sunday and it should be a very entertaining game with a draw being my prediction.
Our u8s came away with a draw last week and should be pleased with that result, and well done to Nick and Richard for looking after our young guns
Our u12 girls took on
The Vets are back this week after a 2 week break and travel to Poets Corner who are lying 2nd and with us top it should make out to be an interesting encounter my mind says a draw but my heart goes for a win and 3pts
These are my predictions and I show no favouritism to any of our teams and it is up to YOU to prove me wrong.
Message From Choc
I have had a complaint from the Welfare regarding teams that are coming into the club with dirty football kit and boots on after games. After all, I do allocate changing rooms for both teams. I think this time of year all teams should have a change of clothes both home and away teams. So could you please give the message to your team and your opponents that they are welcome into the club after your game but must not wear kit that they have just being playing in for obvious reasons. I for one would not like to go and sit somewhere and find out that someone has been sat there with dirty football kit on. Thank you.

|Helen gets football funding in the net|
Thanks to an E.ON sponsored course, Helen Nuthall from Central Networks, E.ON’s power distribution business, has gone from never having played a game of footie in her life, to training and coaching with the best.
Through E.ON’s matched funding scheme, she earns up to £250 per year for her daughter’s footie team, the Calverton Miners Welfare FC U12 Girls, too.
After discovering her talent, Helen now works with local football associations to encourage more ladies to get involved, and takes part in Female Coach Mentoring sessions run by Nottinghamshire Football Association. She has even met England international Sue Smith from Leeds Ladies.
Most importantly, her new skills mean that she can help out at her daughter’s football training sessions and, with E.ON’s Matched Funding scheme, she is able to raise an extra £250 per year for her daughter’s footie club.
Helen said: “E.ON Matched Time is a fantastic thing to get involved in for your club or organisation. Through the scheme I’ve been able to provide my daughter’s football team with tracksuits, SAQ (Speed Agility Quickness) training equipment and, this year, waterproof coats for match days and training too.
“Without this generous support from E.ON, we’d need to raise all our funds on our own, which would be really difficult. We’d like to say big thank you to the E.ON team.”

CHOCS PREDICTIONS 8th & 9th NOVEMBER
1st team are going really well at the moment lying 4th in the league and they play Clipstone at home this Saturday where I can see another 3pts coming our way which could take them to the top if other results go their way.
The Reserves had a terrific win last Saturday against a supposedly step 6 team in the cup and coming away with a 4-0 victory, on Saturday they travel to 2nd place Southwell with a decent side out I fancy us to come away with a draw.
The 3rds are having a mixture this season with a good win last week I just hope they can follow it up with another win this week against
Our new NAA team had a convincing win the cup last week and this week they also play West Bridgford and I fancy 3pts coming our way, stand in Manager
The Academy Saturday side is on a roll this season and let’s hope they can keep it going with another 3pts this week with a win over
The u16s lads are having a mixed season with 2 defeats on the bounce but without a game a rest could be a tonic.
Our u15s were cancelled last Sunday after traveling all the way to Attenboro only to be told the game was off, but they face top of the league Parkhouse on Sunday and what a game it should be, a draw for me.
The u14s under the guidance of Dave Lee recorded a 10-2 victory last week, this week is 3rd plays 4th for the boys so 3pts for the Calvo lads.
The u13s recorded a 3-1 win last week against local rivals
New managers of the u12s must be happy the way their team is progressing so far this season but with a 3-2 win also in the cup against Skegby, but they must be on their guard this week against mid table Lowdham but I fear they may slip up and come away with a point, a win may take them upto 2nd place.
U11s in their first season and still learning to adapt to eleven a’side football are still doing well, this week they play basement club and should come away with a win.
U10s last Sunday played in a terrific game of football in which I watched but amazingly went out of the cup, Calverton dominated for most of the game with chance after chance but that is football for you, well done to Mick and Carl and their terrific support for producing a good bunch of kids, a win for me this Sunday against a mid-table team should keep you in second spot.
U9s had a friendly last Sunday and they also look an up and coming side who should bring home silverware in the next few years, they are away on Sunday but I fancy them to bring home 3pts after watching them last week.
Finally news on our u8s, played 6 won 4 lost 1 and drew 1 and they play a team who have not lost this season but a tough call but I will play it safe and go for a draw.
Due to circumstances our u16 girls team have a to withdraw form the league but a big thanks to Andy and his team of helpers and the girls who stuck by them.
Our u12 girls take on
The Vets had a good win on Sunday which keeps them top of the league but the old boys need a rest this week but well done to Brian, Wag and Tommy and the team, hope Wag has recovered from his head injury but if he would hold onto the ball he would not have needed hospital treatment.
These are my predictions and I show no favoritism to any of our teams and it is up to YOU to prove me wrong.
Update 5 November
