CHOC’S PREDICTIONS 24TH & 25TH OCT
Well not many teams playing this week due to the bank holiday and on Saturday I away for a week so they wont be any for next weekend, but 8 right, 7 wrong and 1 with no game.
Well this Saturday is the Mini tournament and I wish Richard and Marc good luck and hope it all goes well and hope all teams support it if they can.
1st team, we had to scrap for this one but finally came through with a 3-1 victory this week it is Grantham Rangers and a win we really could do with, if we play the football there is no reason why we cant get 3 pts so a win for the boys I hope.
|
Res, last week saw us drop more valuable points against Pinxton but we have had to call there game off this Saturday as the league double booked us, but they have a mid-week game next Tuesday against League leaders Dronfield, with a few new players in we can give them a better game than the last time they met. Maybe a draw?
NSL side, are having real dip in form losing last week to Keyworth 2-0 and must be worrying times for new manager but he can pick them up and get back to winning ways this weekend against Cotgrave who have started well, a draw for me.
3rds, Went down 3-2 but the lads gave there all, this week it is Coopers Arms come on lads you need that win no better chance than this week, oh yes that win is in the air.
U19s, Played on Tuesday against Long Eaton a long way to go for our youngsters I hope it is worth it, but a defeat is on the cards.
U16s, East Leake Bantams refused to play our boys last weekend as they didn’t have a full squad, seems a bit pathetic but that is how some teams operate, Attenborough who are unbeaten is this weeks opponents and I am sure Dean will want to get back into winning ways, but maybe a draw.
U15s, who had a cup game at home to Netherfield and ended up winning 6-1 and into the next round, this week it is the same team but in the league, 3pts a cert.
U14s, played Burton Joyce on Sunday ended up 6-0 victors, this week no game but they are still top.
U13s, well would you believe it they are still top of the league with a win last Sunday 4-0 against Quarrydale but no game this week
U12s, What a game for our boys going down 4-3 but they did well, this week no game.
U11s, local derby with the Cherry tree last week and Mick and Carl must have had the lads on a win bonus coming away with a 6-0 victory and moving them upto fourth spot, keep it going lads. No game this week and I predicted it wrong last week.
U10s Sun, still top but last week it was cup action against Ruddington and eased through with an 8-1 victory a big well done you guys, this week it is Cotgrave Clarets and I cant see them moving us from top spot so a win and still top for our u10s.
U10s Sat, Ended up with a 2-2 draw against Lowdham Black, but no game this week.
U9s Sat, I predicted this one right but the boys will get themselves together and maybe win this weeks mini-tournament, but no game in league football.
U9s Sun, No game last week and no game this week but they are ina mini-tournament on Sat, good luck boys.
U8s, if they can let me have some fixtures I will give it a go.
U7s, if they can let me have some fixtures I will give it a go.
U13 girls, Well the girls rolled into the next round of the cup with a 7-2 thrashing of Keyworth, this is one prediction I got wrong but just. This week there is no game so can’t get that wrong. Well done girls for a great start and for doing the ball boys for the senior side last week.
U10 girls, These girls only went down by 1-0 to league leaders Bingham and they did themselves proud well done to all concerned. No game this week.
Vets, well don’t know what’s happened to our old boys but they are not firing at the moment going down 4-1 last week, have a rest and come back in two weeks.
If I have missed you out let me know, these are my predictions please let me know via e-mail only if I got it wrong.
Cheers and good luck

Choc's Predictions.....
|
CHOC’S PREDICTIONS 17TH & 18TH OCT
Well not a bad start to my predictions, 6 right, 7 wrong and 3 with no game. Well this weeks might impress you here we go.
1st team, I got this one right with a draw but this week it is cup action at home against Bulwell and it should not be a problem for us to go through to next round, so a win for Tony’s boys.
Res, last week saw us drop valuable points against basement club Nettleham coming home with a 2-2 draw, this week it is pinxton who are 3rd from bottom so it should be a win but you never know I have slight doubt but a draw maybe on the cards.
|
NSL side, are having real dip in form losing last week to Gedling 4-0 this week it is off to Keyworth and to be honest I can’t see us coming home with a point, so sorry lads it is another defeat for you unless you can prove me wrong..
3rds, Loads of drama this week with this team which hopefully should kick start there season but they take on the Headstocks on Sat who are just above them, I fancy us to get a win.
U19s, Danny and Darren finally got a win for our youngsters with a marvellous 4-1 win over Harworth, but they need to carry it on this week as they travel to Mickleover a win will take us above them, but a point is all we will get.
U16s, Well my prediction was spot on last week but I will still say that we will be there come next April, this week it is cup action with another toughie in East Leake bantams this is a tough call but I fear we will bow out of the cup, sorry lads please prove me wrong.
U15s, have a cup game at home to Netherfield who are just above them in the league but that will not worry Dave and his lads, through to next round for me.
U14s, back in action against Burton Joyce on Sunday and still top of the league and another win for u14s without a doubt.
U13s, well would you believe it we have gone top of the league with a win last Sunday well done management and the boys, this week it is Quarrydale and I see no reason why we cant be still at the top, a win for Calvo.
U12s, got a valuable point last week and this week it is basement club who they play if we don’t win this one we may go bottom, so as a incentive I fear you will lose this one and go bottom now there is a challenge.
U11s, another win last week saw us move upto mid-table but this week it is a local derby with the Cherry tree our opponents, it should be a close game with the points being shared.
U10s Sun, we are still top with a 4-2 victory last week but cup action this week against Ruddington and this should also be close but I fancy us to go through.
U10s Sat, played top of the league last week and lost 4-0 but onwards and upwards I say, this week it is Lowdham Black, bring it on and bring home the 3pts.
U9s Sat, with a great win last week 1-0 moved them to a mid-table spot but this week it is Ilkeston Flyers who are laying second all I will say give it your best shot and enjoy, but no points this week.
U8s, if they can let me have some fixtures I will give it a go.
U7s, if they can let me have some fixtures I will give it a go.
U13 girls, well what more can I say every time I predict them they prove me wrong, last week they travelled in style with Calverton Connections taking them, supporting them and then bringing them home how good is that and we won and we stay top of the league, but it is cup action for the girls on Sunday with the CC taking them again, has the start gone to there heads and can they go through to next round, we could bow out. sorry girls.
U10 girls, well these girls are doing us proud also with a tremendous win again last week 3-0 but this week is a tough game against league leaders Bingham who are unbeaten and I fear they will stay unbeaten, a defeat our girls sorry girls. you must prove me wrong.
Vets, Not has the best of starts but they have had some good teams to play, this week it is cup action against a team who is in a lower league and I see our dads army going through by the odd goal.
If I have missed you out let me know, these are my predictions please let me know via e-mail only if I got it wrong.
Cheers and good luck

Update 7 October 2009

CHOC’S PREDICTIONS 10TH & 11TH OCT
Every season I do my best and predict the Colts score for the weekend and this can have a effect on results as I know that certain will raise there game if I predict them a defeat so it is all good fun. Well here we go!!
1st team, they have had a mixed start to the season winning a few and losing a few but Tony Cox has come in and done a fabulous job in re-building a team from scratch there is still a way to go but we are getting there and we fully support Tony, anyway this week they travel to my former club of 7 years in Southwell City and I hope that we can put one over them by coming away with a victory but I think it may turn out to be 1-1 draw.
|
Res, Tony and John are doing a good job with the Reserves not bad to say that the former 1st management wanted us to get rid of them this year but that is football and they have brought in some good players and lads from the village and are placed 3rd with one defeat in 6, this week it is off to Nettleham who last week they beat 9-2 with super striker Gary Clarkson bagging 4 goals his 4th Hatrick this season, and there is no reason why they cannot bring home another 3pts and possibly go top, a win but not as big as last week’s.
NSL side, under new management this year and got off to a flyer but the last 2 games have seen a dip in form and Tony and his crew needs to get that back into shape and get them in to winning ways, this week it is Gedling Southbank and I am sure with new signings immanent they can get back on track with a win, 4-1 to Calvo.
3rds, Darren has had a half decent start but after talking to him I am sure he can get a settled side and start winning a few more games after all it is only Oct and a long way to go so come on Darren stick with it and get them boys playing, anyway this week it is Kashmir away and win would start moving them up that table but a draw is on the card’s for me.
U19s, Mick and John had to step down due to work commitments but we have set on Danny and Darren for the time being and hopefully they can do the business for the club and they have a good squad of players, this week they are at home against Harworth and I think we could get something out of this game, so our first win this year.
U16s, Dean has got the lads rolling again but this week it is there biggest rivals Parkdale who are unbeaten and top of the league, we usually do well against this team but I think it is to early to say that we will beat them, so a defeat for us but we will be there at the end.
U15s,David has also got off to a decent start but with players being picked up by professional clubs he still is trying to rebuild and is currently mid-table, they has a good win in the shield last week but no game this week.
U14s, as usual Mick and his boys are firm favorites to win another league title but early days yet but they have got off to a good start, but no game this week.
U13s, another team who have a good start but this week it is a 4th plays 5th against Lowdham Colts now this could be a tricky game and normally I would play it safe and go with a draw but not this week I go for a 2-1 victory.
U12s, who are under new management with Andy Melaugh coming out of a 3 month retirement to give these lads a game of football, I thank Mick Cole for his time and effort and also John Cusick for helping keep the team going, this week it is Sherwood at home and I would think that the lads who are back to full strength will bring home all 3pts with there first victory of the season.
U11s, Mick and Carl’s lads have started decent this season and it is there first season at 11 a’side so well done boys, this week it is Sherwood who are bottom but that means nothing so early on the season, but a draw is my forecast unless the lads want to prove me wrong.
U10s, Well it is 1st plays 2nd on Sunday and will we still be in top spot who knows only the lads know that and I will support them by saying a win for Mark and his lads.
U9s, Saturday side take on Riverside a side that are just above them, but a shaky start so far but I am sure they will turn things round but not this week, I will go for a draw.
U8s, Not quite sure who they have this week but will find out for next week.
U7s, same as above Not quite sure who they have this week but will find out for next week
U13 girls, Take on Ilkeston Town ladies and what a start they have had this season played 2 won 2 and top of the league, but I think this week will see them remain unbeaten with a 2-2 draw.
U10 girls, Pete and Deans girls got there first win last week and this week it is off to Ashfordby away, they are below our girls and will remain below them as I fancy the girls to get there second win of the year.
Vets, who have not a game this week played last week and earned a valuable draw with Burton Joyce 2-2.
If I have missed you out let me know, these are my predictions please let me know via e-mail only if I got it wrong.
Cheers and good luck
