The President's Run is our monthly "Clan Gathering" where members of the club, fast-groups, slow-groups, cycling or non-cycling, endeavour to meet together at the lunch-time cafe stop. The aim is to arrive by whatever means for 12noon.
These social Sunday meets have been operating since 2004 and, if you're lucky, the Club President (who instigated this monthly convention) might even turn up in person! At least, that was the case with the previous President, however our current President has redressed the situation and is usually top of the queue in the cafe.
This appears to be one recent club innovation that is now making its mark. You'll need a damn good excuse to miss these gatherings. "I was riding a 300 km Audax" or "it's the Mersey Roads 24" just doesn't cut the cloth!
