CareShare is run by a local
Management Committee of volunteers. They have overall responsibility for
CareShare and between them, have a wide range of experience and a wealth
of skills which are valuable to CareShare. Most are long serving members
of the Committee and many have been involved since the earliest days of
CareShare. The Chairman, Mr Richard Newman has been a member of the
Management Committee since 1992 and is a retired solicitor.
Mrs Valerie Garrett has been the Manager of CareShare
since 1992. She retired at the end of December 2010 and her place has
been taken by Helen Baker. Mrs
Judith Franklin joined CareShare in 2001 and has been Care Manager since
2002. She has received much appropriate training during that time and
has a level 3 NVQ. Mrs Mary Saunders has been the
CareShare Administrator since 1995 and has helped the role to grow and
develop. Currently there is a team of 9 Carer Support
Workers. All receive thorough induction training for the role. They
attend all the specified training sessions required to meet the national
care standards. All staff receive regular in house training and have
their training updated as appropriate. The majority of the team have
already achieved or are working towards an NVQ.
