Walking in the Alpujarras
Pampaneira-Bubion-Capileira (Approx. 1.5 hours) This walk begins in Pampaneira's main square, where you will find the church. Take the cobbled street out of the top of the square, climbing steeply up through the village, past the washhouse and onto the old royal road. This path takes you gently upwards towards the village of Bubion. The land is cultivated on either side and the path takes about 45 minutes to walk. As you enter Bubion you need to head towards the church square and then on towards the sports complex and out of the upper part of the village. Follow the general flow of the main road (to the right of the path), upwards towards Capileira (about 2 km)
Note: This route can be combined with walk 7 to take you back to your starting place in Capileira
