Tups Sold In 2005
We sold 9 Shearlings and 9 lambs at Castle Douglas. The shearlings averaged £1005,
and sold to a top of £2100. The lambs averaged £690 and sold to a top of £1200.
The £2100 tup was sold in a 2 way split to David Cruickshank, Nithsdale and
Robin Bell, Knockairdie.

We sold 14 Shearlings and 6 lambs at Castle Douglas. The shearlings averaged
£880, and sold to a top of £1500. The lambs averaged £690 and sold to a top

We sold some of our tups privately but the top end were sold at the video auction at Castle Douglas. Our Shearlings averaged £782, and sold to a top of £1300. Our lambs averaged £500. Some of the top averages at the sale.
Our £1300 Shearling At Castle Douglas
The above tup is by Nithsdale Bright Spark out of a ewe by Knockardie Rob Roy. He was sold for £1300 to the "Cairnsmore" Flock, owned by M.C.Brown, Abune The Brae, Dumfries.
Our No.1 Lamb At Castle Douglas
This lamb is one of the best lamb's we have ever bred. His mother is Cassington Kylie, who was champion of numerous shows and a member of the team who were Reserve at the Progeny Show in '99. His father, Knockardie Blue Diamond was Robin Bell's number one lamb at Castle Douglas in 2000. This lamb was sold to the "Laigh Logan" Flock, owned by S.& D. Bryson.
The 2001 Pen Of Shearlings Sold At Castle Douglas
This year, we sold a pen of strong shearlings. They were all used as lambs and crossed well. This group of tups averaged £782.
