Dover castle.

Henry II’s magnificent keep, building started c.1181 and was completed around 1190.
The keep is 83ft high and the walls are between 17 and 21ft thick,
it has three floors.

A replica medieval trebuchet or siege engine in the castle grounds.

The Constables Gateway, built to replace the north gateway which was destroyed in the great siege of 1216.
It was completed in the 1220's.
