Whitehill
Stone circle
NJ 643 135

On the A944 heading west from Aberdeen turn right on the B993 to Monymusk at Tillyfourie where there also is a sign to the circle. After about a mile turn left on a lane to find a forestry track on the left in about ¼ mile. It is signed to the circle and forestry trails. Follow the track west for about a mile then it turns north at a fork. Go right here, uphill, and the circle is ahead on the left. This is a pleasant 1 mile walk along an easy forestry road. When you reach the site you will see the stones as nearby trees have been felled.

Although many of the stones have fallen this is still an impressive site. There is an internal ring cairn and the circle is about 20m diameter with a large recumbent to the SSW. The cairn almost fills the interior of the circle and reaches around 1.5m in height with a well defined hollow in the centre.
