Crucuno At the roundabout on the road from Carnac to Erdeven take the right turn signed to the village. You will see the tomb right beside a house when you enter the village. There is space to park beside it. All that remains of this structure is the chamber as the line of stones of the passage have long gone and a house has been built right up beside it. It survives as it was put in state care as far back as 1882. The chamber is almost square measuring 3.5 by 3.4m (About 11ft square) and reaches a height of 1.8m (about 6ft). The capstone is huge and weighs over 40 tons and is supported by close-set stones. It has served many functions in recent times including being the home for a villager for 10 years in the 18th century.

| There is a
stone setting here – the Crucuno Rectangle – but I walked down the
farm tracks to the north and came to dead ends of fields barricaded off so
couldn’t find it among the gorse and hawthorn. |
