Kerlescan
Rows, cromlech and dolmen
Carnac, Morbihan

There is space to park on the left just after a right turn (no entry) near some houses heading west on the Route de Kerlescan beside the rows. From here if you walk back to the turning beside the houses you can follow a signed track to the dolmen. This route gives you good views around the east end of the rows. A man gardening that we spoke to was not happy about all the fences and nor were we.

Kerlescan Rows

Dolmen
After a short walk through the trees that is very handy when you have two dogs with you the long mound comes into view surrounded by a ring of stones and set in trees. It is an almost rectangular mound aligned east to west with a side entrance to the south. The capstones have all gone except for one on the west but you can clearly see the arrangement of the passages.

Kerlescan Cromlech (West)

If you walk back to the road, pass your vehicle and continue following the fence to the riding school you can make out the west cromlech stones and even the ones further away. The row of 18 large stones on the east of the cromlech are in an almost straight line aligned north to south. The north cromlech is almost hidden in trees and you can see little from the road.

Kerlescan Rows
Carnac, Morbihan

There are 13 rows running from the cromlech to the houses in the east for 350m. The tallest stones are to the west near the cromlech and the others are pretty impressive.
