Mané Keriaval
Passage Grave
Carnac North, Morbihan

If you cross the road and walk up the minor road opposite (beside the bowling sign) towards newly built houses you will soon come to a sign for this tomb. This route has been cut off by the building of the first house on the left so continue for about 100m until a second sign directs you to a muddy track on the left. Follow this as it bears left to get you behind the new house where you will see the remains of the stone rows here – a few scattered standing stones. Follow the track for about 100m – and bear right and you will come to the site beside the path on the left.

This is quite a complex form, though damaged it is still an interesting design. It is a transepted tomb that is divided up into several chambers. It faces east and a short passage leads to the NE chamber that still has a large capstone. Beyond it the NW chamber has retained part of its capstones.

The SW and SE chambers have lost their capstones and they can be seen to the side. It is a large construction and is set on a low mound though partly obscured by gorse.
