Menec
(West) From the west carpark if you walk further west along the main road and take the right turn at the end of the rows you can walk towards the houses of Menec and see parts of the cromlech. You also get a good view of the end of the rows here.
Sections of the cromlech in the west You can see some of the remaining stones of the huge arc of the cromlech that go right up to the houses. These are mostly on private land but there are a couple of places where the road cuts the arc in two where you can get close.
An arc of stones by the houses Round the back of the houses is a space near the ubiquitous fence where you can see the terminal stones of the rows.
The west end of the Menec rows There are 12 rows of granite pillars that end by this cromlech in a north to south line. This is the section of rows where they are experimenting with introducing sheep – this is just as well because if the grass and gorse keep growing you won’t be able to see anything.
