Pors Guen
Passage Graves
Port Blanc, Quiberon, Morbihan

From Pierre St Quiberon follow the road signed to Portivy (as for La Roch) and carry on towards the sea. There is a small sign for Port Blanc but keep heading towards the coast on the west. There is a carpark at the end of the lane and you will see a ruined house up on the cliffs to the right about 800m away. The burial chambers are before it in a section that has been fenced as it is beside the cliff.

There are two small passage graves here. In excavations in the 1900s skeletons were found that had survived as they were buried in sand and therefore preserved. Both tombs face SE and have short passages. One has a rectangular chamber, the other circular. Both chambers were paved in slabs and one grave had 12 skulls on the slabs then a second layer of slabs placed on top where more skulls and complete skeletons were found. Two complete skeletons were found in the other chamber and a third in the passage.

Take care here as the chambers are right beside the cliff.
