Take the A30 from Bolventor where the Jamaica Inn is and after a few miles take the right turn signed St Breward. After about a mile there is a rough track on the right at a crossroads turn and park near here and The Trippett Stones can be seen ahead on the left of the track. Only eight stones remain of what were probably 28 in a circle of 33m diameter. They range in height between 1.2m to 1.6m (4-5 feet) and are local granite. The name Trippet comes from the common legend around Cornwall that the stones are the petrified bodies of girls who were turned to stone for dancing on the Sabbath.

| This
circle may date back to the Late Neolithic period as much as 4500 years
ago. This would have been an outstanding monument when built as the stones
are large and were carefully selected with flat tops and inner faces.
