Brownshill This is worth a diversion for on the way to Cork and is froim the N81 heading south where you take the R727/8 to Carlow and the tomb is signposted with a carpark as well. A short walk brings you to it.
The tomb consists of 4 upright stones, 3 of which support a massive capstone weighing around 150 tons making it one of the heaviest in Europe. The portals stones are about 1.5m high. This site has never been excavated.
