Borvemore
Standing Stone/Stone Circle

About a mile beyond Borve on the A859 is a 2m high standing stone in a field to the right of the road. Access is through a gate in the wall and there is space to park nearby by an old house.


Near the stone are two more of a similar size lying in the grass. It is recorded that this might be a stone circle but many of the stones were taken away. If so it must have been about 12m diameter. It is a lovely site for a circle with views to the island and just in sight of the Horgabost stone in the distance.
