Cup and ring marks

Heading south from Kilmartin on the A816 there is a turning signed to the Cairnbaan Hotel. Take this and try and park along this lane. There is a sign and path to the stones beside the hotel. New houses were being built here so the parking space has gone. There is a short steep section of path and then it levels out. On the crags above the hotel are two groups of carvings.
The
first is inside some metal railings where there are three outcrops. A
feature of this rock sheet are the long grooves that run down from seven
of the cups to the south. The
second group is 100m west on the moorland that has a complex series of
markings with multiple rings and an unusual star shape that is very feint.
