Callanish XII
Standing Stone
NB 215 350

Driving into Breasclete the stone will be seen at the entrance to the Stonefield housing estate on the left after the kerb cairn and school.

In 1923 peat cutting revealed the stone 300m NW of the school. It is a slab of Lewisean gneiss just over 1m high and is set in a cobbled base.

In the 1960s when a small housing estate was built here the stone was set in the plinth and was not disturbed from its original position during construction.
