Druim Dubh “Black Ridge” Stone Circle NB 382 305 This site can be found beside the A859 to Stornoway opposite the Half Way Garage just 20m from the road on a low rocky peat covered crest. This was first noticed by Margaret Curtis as she was going by on a bus in 1992 when she saw some stones that were exposed by peat cutters in 1992 and since then she has conducted a detailed survey of the site.

| The
ones we could see exposed are in the NE arc in the photographs, the other
stones are still buried, many are indicated by the mounds of peat on them.
The site was scheduled as an Ancient Monument in 1993 and another useful
site plan is available for this circle. |
