Cerrig
Gerrau From Talerddig on the A470 head west on the lane towards Werngerhynt. After about 2 miles there will be a footpath sign on the left pointing vaguely to a gate on the right of the road. Go through this gate and a second and when you reach a third by some trees go through it and keep alongside the trees to where they end. From here look for a feint footpath between the gorse heading north uphill. Carry on to the top for about ¾ mile and when you come to a fence blocking the way where the barbed wire has been replaced with string is the route to the circle that you should see straight ahead over the field.
There are two circles here, the first is Cerrig Gerrau and the other Lled Croen Yr Ych just beyond it.
Cerrig Gerrau The circle consists of 8 fallen stones in a ring 21m across (about 70ft). The stones are quite large and average 1.5m (5ft) high. The circle Lled Croen Yr Ych is just over 100m ENE of this site over a stile in the next field.

Lled
Croen Yr Ych This circle is just over 100m ENE of Cerrig Gerrau and clearly visible, a stile leads to it. The name means “the width of the ox hide” and derives from the tradition that an ox was buried here and its hide was stretched out and surrounded by standing stones. This could explain the irregular circumference of the circle that varies between 23m to almost 25m.
Lled Croen Yr Ych There are seven small stones here ranging from 0.3 to 0.45m (1 to 1.5ft) in height. Although not a spectacular circle by any means, the views are good and well worth it in good weather.
