Druids’ Circle Further uphill is the
oval Druids’ Circle that is 85 by 80 feet (25.5 by 24.4 metres). There
are about 30 granite stones, several around 5 feet (1.5 metres) high. The
entrance is to the WSW where there is a gap in the stone bank that rings
the site. In clearer weather there are pleasant views but in the fog it is
very peaceful and silent.

entrance is a large stone known as the Stone of Sacrifice which has a
natural curved ledge in it and plenty of superstitions about it.

Stone
Circle A short distance to the west can be seen another circle which is a ring cairn. The circle is built around a stony bank and is lined with stones that are almost touching. It is oval, measuring about 40 by 35 feet (12 by 11 metres) and just to the NNE appears to be a small ring of stones with a 4 foot (1.2 metre) high standing stone in the centre. There is another standing stone of a similar height just to the southeast.
