Gwytherin
Stone Row
SH 877 615

From the A55 take the exit to Abergele and head into the town where you take the left turn, the A548,signed to Llanrwst. After about 5 miles turn left on the A544 to Llansannan and after 4 miles turn right on the B5384 signed to Gwytherin. Follow the signs to the village and park near the church. This is an attractive little village that has won the best kept village competition four times.

Go into the churchyard and the stones are ahead to the left beside the north wall of the little church. The church is on a raised mound beside a stream set in a pleasant location with three ancient yew trees.

There are four stones n this row all between 1 and 1.2m in height and evenly spaced at around 2.4m intervals. The row is close to the church wall and is aligned roughly east to west.

The first stone in the row has been carved and the letters appear to be about Winnifred, the name of the church.
