Return to the B6054 and continue north to
Hathersage. Follow the A265 towards Hope and Castleton (signposted) then
turn right on the A6013 towards Bamford. When you reach the A57 turn right
and go on for a couple of miles towards Sheffield. Look out for a small
bridge and on the right is a large layby just past some trees. Park here.
If you come to a sign for Strines Moor go back to the first layby. At the
end of the layby is a steep path that takes you to a fence. From this
fence it is a short steep climb to the top of the ridge in front of you.
At the top find the grass track and turn right. Follow this for about 300
metres to find the circle on the left where there is a clearing in the
heather. There are good views towards the reservoir and hills from this
site. (From the layby you could follow the fence along towards the trees
to find a locked, barbed wire covered gate with a track beyond – this
leads through the trees and take a right turn to head up the ridge –
either way gets you there)

Views of the circle
The taller stones have similar hollows to some other Derbyshire sites The circle is about 15 metres diameter with 10 stones all under 1 metre tall.
