Stone
Circles There are two ways we
know now to reach these sites, the easiest is to continue on the A595 and
take the turning for Po House and park there. Instead we went on for about
a mile and turned left towards Millom carried on past to go over a railway
level crossing. Soon after this look for a footpath sign pointing up a
lane on the right. There is room for one car to park here on the verge
before the gates ahead over the railway. Cross the railway line and head
uphill on the poorly marked footpath, keep to the banked ditch on your
right and cross a stile, follow the wall uphill to a ruined farmhouse. Go
through the old farm buildings to meet the track that comes from Po House.
Carry on to the right uphill past the last building and Lacra A will come
into sight.

Circle This site is almost 100 metres ESE of the farm buildings. Two of the six stones remain standing and from here you can see Lacra D about 150 metres ESE from the site. This is a small oval ring on the hillside and in the centre is a large flat stone. Lacra C is about 350 metres south from site A but we ran out of time and will have to return.
