Rhyl Modern Stone Circle SJ 014 824 This Eisteddfod circle is on the seafront at Rhyl on the North Wales coast. We have driven along here a few times in a car and never seen it as it is set down in a hollow but going by in the campervan we had the extra height to spot it. It is just before the swimming pool on the right heading into town.
It is made up of the usual 12 tall stones, all about 2m high, except for the smaller one set inside the circumference. It is an attractive circle in a very pleasant setting unlike the one at Llangefni below.

Llangefni Modern Stone Circle SH 460 760 On Anglesey take the turning to Llangefni from the A5 and when you reach the town you need to turn right but the one-way system takes you left. So follow it round in the Bangor direction and on the way out of town look for the Kwik Save carpark and the circle is beside it. Thanks to Michael for letting me know about this one.
This is an
Eisteddfod circle with 12 tall stones, all about 2m high, except for the
smaller one set inside the circumference. There is the usual
"altar" in the centre and it dates back to around 1975. The
circle is fairly overgrown and not in the most attractive setting as it is
beside a supermarket carpark and ringed by houses and factory buildings. |

Flint Modern Stone Circle SJ 244 725 Take the exit for Flint off the A55 in North Wales and after just over a mile take the third right after Flint High School as you head downhill towards the town. The road is called Coed Onn Road. After a short distance you come to a grassy area on the left and the circle will be seen near the road. |
