Old
Sarum Take the A345 from Amesbury towards Salisbury and after about 6 miles there will be a sign to Old Sarum on the right. This is an impressive site that was originally a Neolithic settlement and later developed into an Iron Age hillfort, then later into a medieval castle with it’s own cathedral only to be abandoned when nearby Salisbury was developed.
