Thursday 19th July

After a pleasant half hour crossing to Claonaig on Kintyre, then empty roads towards the A83 to Kilmartin. We decided to detour round the small coast road to see some carved stones near Kilberry but the site was closed when we got there due to the fact that nobody official had been that way to remove the sign we think. However there were some interesting standing stones in the bay of Loch Stornoway a couple of miles before Kilberry. One pair and a single in a similar arrangement to the ones in Brodick. It was a very scenic drive though.
