Machrie Moor Stone Circles

This circle consists of four large boulders and is set in the heather just to the right of the boards. Luckily for us the Scottish Heritage people were just finishing clearing the undergrowth and strimming around the site so the stones were clearly visible. 


This is a small circle, about 6 metres across and looks as if it could have had a 5th stone at one time as there is a gap in the layout to the northwest of the circle.
